Jerky J Sticks

Jerky J Sticks

A few tips for fishing the Jerky J Stick:
First and foremost, fish it slowly. You cannot fish this lure too slow! It is highly effective in many situations, but one of the best places to use the Jerky J Stick is in grass. If you fish a lot of clear water, long casts are important. After you make your cast, keep a loose line, but stay in contact with the lure while it sinks. It takes practice, but this is when a large percentage of the strikes will happen. You also must have patience, because the lure sinks at an extremely slow rate.

The Jerky J Stick falls with the lure positioned horizontally while it falls, almost gliding, to the bottom. Any movement of the rod tip will cause the lure to dart and glide, and it will do so while maintaining its horizontal postion.

Many different presentations work great with the Jerky J Stick.  It can be fished with an unweighted hook, jig hook, EWG hook or Wacky Rigged.  Truth be told, this lure is so deadly it is almost unfair to the fish.  These lures are salt impregnated, so they release a scent trail as they are retrieved.

Please practice catch and release.  Large gamefish are a limited resource!!
